Membership & Training Fees 2025
At Seiikan, our fee structure is thoughtfully divided into two components: Membership Fee and Training Fee.
This approach ensures that all members are properly affiliated with AKR and ACTKR, while also supporting the ongoing operation and sustainability of the dojo. It allows us to maintain a high standard of instruction and provide a welcoming training environment for both long-term practitioners and those joining us on a more casual basis.
Membership Fee
The membership fee includes:
-
Registration with ACT Kendo Renmei (ACTKR)
-
Registration with Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR)
-
Seiikan Dojo Membership
Standard Membership (with AKR/ACTKR registration)
$110 per year (Valid 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026)
Already Registered with AKR/ACTKR via Another Club?
If you are already registered with AKR and ACTKR through another dojo or club, you only need to pay:
$20 – Seiikan Dojo Only Membership
This $20 fee contributes to:
-
Dojo administration and operations
-
Formal recognition as a Seiikan member
-
A Seiikan nafuda (nameplate) as a welcome gift for pioneer members in 2025
Do I Need to Pay the Dojo Membership?
-
If you choose the Full-Year or Half-Year Training Plan, you must become a Seiikan member and pay the $20 dojo membership fee.
-
If you are attending on a Casual Pass or Month-to-Month basis, membership is not required, but strongly encouraged to support the dojo and strengthen your connection to the Seiikan community.

Please note: We are unable to provide change. If paying in cash, kindly bring the exact amount.

We appreciate your understanding and support in helping the dojo operate smoothly.
Refund & Adjustment Policy
We kindly ask all members to review the following policy before submitting payment. This ensures transparency and allows us to maintain a fair and sustainable training environment.
Membership Fee
-
All membership fees (including full AKR/ACTKR registration and dojo-only membership) are non-refundable and non-transferable once payment has been made, regardless of training attendance.
Training Fees – Casual Pass & Month-to-Month
-
Payments for Casual Passes and Month-to-Month plans are non-refundable and non-transferable once processed.
-
If you have not yet attended any training sessions, you may request to reschedule your session or shift your training to a future date or month.
-
However, once any training session within a given month has been attended, that month’s fee is considered used in full and is not eligible for refund or adjustment.
Full-Year & Half-Year Plans
-
Training fees under the Full-Year or Half-Year plans are not refundable by default.
-
In the event of serious injury or permanent relocation, members may request a cancellation or temporary pause of their plan.
-
In such cases, the training fee will be recalculated based on the Month-to-Month rate for sessions already attended, and the remaining balance may be refunded or credited, subject to review.
For any special circumstances, please contact the Dojo Manager Olivia He at admin@seiikan.com.au. We are committed to handling each case with fairness, respect, and understanding, while also safeguarding the sustainability of the dojo.
